Washington Park Apiary
This design was another collaborative effort between Avid Landscape Management LLC and Sage Design. Sage Design created the concept, including the special layouts and plant selections. Avid contributed the design and material selections for the hardscaping and landscape irrigation system.
For the patio and walkways, we used Pennsylvania bluestone flagstone and Abbotsford Texada slabs in Natural color (24” x 24” and 24” x 12”). For the steps we used Pennsylvania flagstone treads on tumbled flagstone planking in one location and Abbotsford PisaLite blocks and coping units in another.
This project allowed our clients much better access and use of their steeply sloped backyard. We refer to this as the “Apiary” because shortly after we completed the project our client moved the beehives in.
